We have corn! Can't guarantee against worms, despite consistent spraying. May try something new with the second crop.

We have green bell peppers, a new crop of salad mix that's just coming in, tomatoes large and small of all colors, blueberries and a good amount of basil. Let me know if anyone needs a couple pounds of basil for pesto or anything.

The new crops of beans, cukes, and sqash are doing well. Next week, I expect to be starting a number of fall crops.

See you all at the market!

Note: There has been a growing curiosity in farm visits. Thank you for your interest! For the benefit of all, visits are by appointment only. We do not keep visiting hours and are not open to the general public. Please call ahead if you would like to arrange a visit.

Still struggling with staying awake long enough to respond to emails and update the website in the evenings. Can't believe it's been this long since I've written last. Thank you everyone who has called or written! Calling is probably the most effective way to reach me these days.

The blackberries are in, at least for this week, and maybe one or two more weeks. Still waiting on the blueberries. The wax beans are developing little baby beans, so it'll be no time at all till they're ready. The sweet corn is just about ready, maybe as early as this week? I am really looking foward to that Sweet Ice! Tomatoes are just now starting to turn red, but I'm having trouble with rot around the stems I think due to the drought, rain, and then more drought. I'm looking into it. I'm also curious as to why I have super healthy okra plants, but no okra yet -- the flowers keep falling off. If anyone has any ideas, please pass them on.

Just planted another long (100ft +) row of cucumbers, and another of summer squash and wax beans. I have another crop of salad greens on the way, and that's doing pretty well. I'm keeping an eye on the last salad crop-don't want to use it if it starts to get bitter; there could be a gap between crops this week and, more likely, next week.

There are still blackberries and potatoes this week. I also still have collards, and kale, and a healthy supply of basil and arugula. I've started picking green bell peppers, since they are not doing well on the plant once they start turning red (similar to the tomatoes). And other miscellaneous things like a cabbage or two, some cucumbers, and so on. Looking foward to seeing you all at the markets this week!
