I have plenty of tomatoes these days, so let me know if you'd like some. I've got some cabbages that are ready, and sweet basil this week too.
The heat has taken its toll on some plants, like the summer squash, but I've been replanting, so I may be able to squeeze in another crop of squash. I've also planted a lot more lettuce, some more cucumbers, cabbage, etc. Some of the lettuce I planted early in the month just hasn't germinated well because of how hot the soil has been, but our luck will hopefully be better this week now that some of the edge is gone from all that heat we've had!
I'm putting together a brief questionnaire to (hopefully) include with next week's posting, to get some feedback from everyone. It is about time to start planning for next year, so I'm interested to hear what you all are thinking.

Greetings from Forest Creek!
Our irrigation is working again, which is important as I continue to plant new seeds even though there hasn't been any rain.
We are getting a lot of tomatoes these days, and are also in good supply of peppers and winter squashes. Running low on the summer squash due to the heat, which keeps the fruit from setting. we'll see what happens this week though.

Well, our irrigation pump has not been working at full pressure, so no irrigation last week. However, Saturday night we did get a whopping 3.5 inches of rain! That definitely saved some of the crops I didn't get to handwater. We've cleaned our irrigation filter, and think that should fix our pump problems.
The winter squash is ready. I have some spaghetti squash, and some "Charisma" pumpkins this week. I know it's a bit early for pumpkins--should have planted them a couple of months later, say in July, but when I read "matures in 110 days" it just seemed like forever and that I should get on it early! They are nice round ones of medium size with a good stiff handle, mostly for decoration. If I can get around to it, I'll let you know how they are for pies.
(Look for other types of winter squashes next week - acorn, delicta, kabocha, etc.)

I still have some white "Sweet Ice," but they are the smaller ears that probably won't fill out completely till later this week or next. The yellow corn is "Golden Queen," and is filling out nicely--it's not quite as sweet as the Sweet Ice, but it's still great!
I've got all sorts of tomatoes this week. Mostly red, also some yellow, orange, and red cherry tomatoes. Tomatilloes are still available in green, perhaps with some blushes of purple starting.
I bought a scale last week, so I can now sell things by the pound :)
